What’s the difference in PitBull Names?

What’d the deal with all the different breeds I guess you would say in pit bulls? I hear of razor’s edge, gotti, eli and a bunch of others but I thought they were just called american staffordshire terriers? Could someone please explain this to me and if possible show pictures?

Lauren is half right.

The American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire are cousin. Both breeds were developed at the same time though APBTs tend to be a bit leaner.

BOTH were developed from the Staffordshire which is smaller. That dog was developed from the local terriers and bull dogs of the time hence why they were called Half and Half and Bull and Terrier dogs for a long time.

Razor’s edge Gotti etc refer to bloodlines and specific kennels. Gottis and Razor’s edge btw are some of the WORST most popular lines out there. They have mixed in other breeds into the APBT stick thy had to get those squat defunct dogs they have NONE of which come close to fitting the APBT standard just on how they are built – splayed toes, bad hocks, bad proportions etc.

The above lines are now refereed to as American Bullies.
