Physically, the american bullies is short with a very shiny hair coating. The head is medium in size, have a very prominent cheek muscles, and high positioned ears. This dog can give an extreme bite for you will notice how defined the jaw bone is. All body muscle is intact and the body is well rounded. The nose should be solid in color and the eyes are round and normal in size. The neck widens as it reaches the shoulders and the tail never curls. You are likely to find them in different colors but never merle. All legs are straight and shows an athletic posture. In short, the total look of this Dog never shows any weakness but strength and defined muscles only.

In fact, the process of breeding this Dog was taken carefully by breeders for they aim to maintain certain characteristics of a bull and in the same time the breeders wants to enhance the physical look of the dog that is perfect and ideal for a family dog. Many are still arguing that this kind of dog is not capable of protecting someone because it is very slow due to a body close to a hippo’s. But in my opinion, they can still be a handful of help because the first impression you will probably have when you see this Dog is that it will surely bite you painfully if you do one wrong move.
When it comes to size, Males are bigger than females wherein they measure 18 to 21 inches in height while the latter is 17 to 21 inches. This kind of Dog would prefer warm environment with enough space for them to move and exercise. They are also easy to maintain because you don’t need professional grooming all the time in order to get them clean and neat. All you have to do is take a bristle brush to comb the whole body after giving them a quick bath.
You may also have your dog participate in any dog show and events given that they are fully registered under the United Canine Association under the breed called American Bully.
American bullies are dogs that started to breed in the early 20th Century. They look like Pit-bulls that is why they are often mistaken to be one. Although this kind of dog came from a mix breed of pit bulls and Terriers, They do not belong to the Pit Bulls or the Terrier’s breed but they belong to the new breed called Kennel Club.
