Can Dog Training Be One Of the Great Sports Jobs? by Dan Gold
Other than human-based sports jobs, there are sports that our pets can take part in. Normally, a person who has a lot of time can train his pet by himself, but most people don’t have enough time to train their own dogs.
Training your dog how to sit, lie down, and obey other basic commands are standard parts of sports jobs like training dogs. But, teaching them how to fetch and pull is another matter altogether that requires more dedication from dog trainers. Believe it or not, dog classes are offered all over America that charge a pet owner from $250 to $500 and even up to $2,000 depending on how advanced the tricks are that are needed to be taught.
Considering sports jobs in a dog’s world can be a headache, but training dogs can also be very fulfilling (as far as sports job. All you need is a lot of patience and a great deal of passion with working with dogs. If you are not light hearted with the animals, this sports job is not for you.
Outdoor competitions
Sporting dogs like Jack Russell terriers, Golden Retrievers and Labradors are some of the brightest stars of outdoor competitions. Sports jobs like training dogs starts here. Trainers and owners can easily play the part of being the dog’s personal coach. Some owners do not have much time to compete so they hire someone else to do it for them.
Sports jobs like being outdoor dog trainers can be very complicated. To teach someone who is not speaking the same language as yours and oblige them to respond to your signals can be frustrating and dogs can be a burden to deal with. Even though dogs are smart, they aren’t quick to respond all the time. They learn but not as quickly as humans can or perhaps they would learn faster if it was a dog teaching them.
Weight pulling competitions
Weight pulling dogs develop a great deal of loyalty to their masters. Breeds such as Rottweilers and Pitbulls, who inspire fear in people who are not their owners, are the type of dogs that dominate this competition.
